I specialize in both fiction and nonfiction editing. For fiction, I work primarily with crime, thriller, and mystery manuscripts, including most subgenres such as psychological thrillers, cozy mysteries, and suspense. For nonfiction, my preferred projects include food writing and topics related to women’s health and wellness.

To give every project the attention and expertise it deserves, I limit my services to genres I’m best suited for. I don’t edit speculative fiction, including science fiction, fantasy, or related subgenres.

Copyediting goes deeper than proofreading—it looks at grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, clarity, and consistency to strengthen your writing.
Proofreading is the final polish, focused on catching typos, formatting issues, and other small errors after the main editing is done.

This depends on the word count and the amount of editing that needs to be done. Performing a sample edit gives me an idea of how long an editing project will take.

There is no such thing as perfection when it comes to editing. In a study, the highest error detection rate in a controlled lab setting was 95%. As an editor in the real world, there are many factors that affect detection rate. Errors can also be a matter of style choice.
