I’m a freelance editor based in Los Angeles, and the founder of Jamie Marshall Editing LLC. I provide professional copyediting and proofreading services in both fiction and nonfiction. I launched my editing business in 2025 after completing the Copyediting Certificate Program at UC San Diego, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in history from UCLA.

When I’m not editing, I enjoy reading, baking, watching Columbo, and spending time with my husband and our dog, Augie. I especially love crime, mystery, thriller, and literary fiction—genres that I enjoy both reading and editing. I feel fortunate to have turned a lifelong love of reading and books into a career that lets me support writers and stay immersed in the world of words.
